El Jimador

the food was excellent, the wine was immaculate, conception of the place was phenomenal Sadly, I can't comment on the atmosphere due to being blindfolded and handcuffed. (sensory deprivation helps the mind taste food at its truest form) The staff was accommodating and helped feed me. I recommend the #1 special, it really truly does live up to it's grand and intriguing name of being special

Nice restaurant, nice atmosphere. Customer service was excellent. My wife and I ordered takeout. I had the Beef burrito El Jimador, it was good, not the best beef burrito I’ve had but definitely not the worst, seasoned beef flavor was good, I was satisfied and would probably order it again. The salsa however could use some improvements, not sure if it’s freshly made, tasted more like from a jar or can. Overall, thumbs up!

Maybe we got them on a bad day but this was a terrible restaurant. First, the whole place smelled like vinegar mixed with smelly feet. The AC clearly was not working and most of the place is carpeted. Who puts carpet in a restaurant! The booth next to us was filled with trash, receipts, and paperwork. The ceiling tiles were worn and stained. This place is not clean at all. I can't imagine what the kitchen area looks like. It's sad that places like Explore Lakeside (which was great!) close down and places like this remain in business.
